Sunset Bridge
Cades Cove, in the Smoky Mountains is a special place. If you haven’t been there, you are missing out on some of natures bounty. I was there late on evening in the spring, with the intention of photographing a sunset. I had all my equipment pointing to the west, when I looked back to my left and behind me. The golden sun shined through the trees, and hit parts of this wooden bridge, that just stunned me with its beauty. I loved how the reds of the bridge, mixed with the dappled sunlight, contrasted with the various greens of the valley, and the with the various hues of the mountains in the background. I immediately reset my tripod to capture this fleeting scene. As the sun was going down, the view began to change quickly. I have been back to the same spot a few times since, but it never matched what I saw this evening. I was so happy that I was able to capture this moment, and now it is my pleasure to offer it to you.
