Smoky Bear Afternoon

On a bright spring day, a large black bear strides confidently through the mayapples, trying to fill his belly. Its powerful form contrasts with the vibrant green mayapples that frame the left side of the composition. The bear's thick fur glistens with a blueish tint in the soft light, while the delicate, umbrella-like leaves of the mayapple create a lush backdrop, enhancing the sense of wilderness. I was lucky enough to watch this scene for about an hour, the whole time amazed at his calmness, and confidence, as if oblivious to my presence. This striking juxtaposition of strength and tranquility makes one appreciate the beauty of nature and the intricate balance that exists within it. The scene captures a moment of coexistence, reminding us of the wild spaces that still thrive amidst the encroachment of urban life.
